HSRD_AMP Series Low-altitude UAV Detection Radar

1. Overview

The LRD_AMP low-altitude UAV detection radar consists of three main parts: the radar host, the rotator, and the control terminal software. It primarily performs detection and tracking of low-altitude UAV targets, providing real-time output of target information such as distance, azimuth, altitude, speed, longitude, and latitude. It can also provide precise guidance for optical systems. The physical image of the radar is shown below:

2. Work mode

The radar operates in a 360-degree low-altitude surveillance mode: In this mode, the display control terminal software sends the operating mode to the radar. The radar host then continuously scans at 360 degrees under the drive of the rotator. During the mechanical scanning of the azimuth, the pitch dimension is scanned, covering the detection airspace from 0° to 30°. Once the radar detects a target, it establishes a flight path, tracks the target, and reports the detection results to the display control terminal.

3.  Application

(1) This system can be set up on a tripod for independent use, providing stable detection and tracking of aerial drones;

(2) it can also work in conjunction with optical-electronic systems to guide them in identifying drones, and link with jamming and decoy systems to manage and handle drones;

(3) the system can work without tripod and be mounted on a car roof to function as a mobile monitoring station or on a rooftop or other fixed points to serve as a stationary monitoring station.

4. Display and control software

The display and control software primarily handles radar operation and control, setting working parameters, parsing radar return data, displaying radar targets, storing experimental data files, and converting protocols into different protocol requirements for various customer terminals.
